Parks of the Future
The Elkhart County Park and Recreation
Department manages other natural areas in the county. Though presently undeveloped these "parks of
the future" provide valuable, undisturbed habitat for a variety of plant and animal species.
Wolf Lake Site
30 acres located on one of the few
undeveloped lakes in the county. Wolf lake contains a variety of habitats from open meadows, wet
woodlands, marsh and the lake itself. Presently there is no public access to the property. Wolf Lake is
located two miles north of Goshen, IN on State Road 15. Turkey Creek Site
23 acres located approximately two miles south of Goshen on Turkey Creek off of County Road 21. Presently there is no public access to the property.
